Love this first album so much. Still holds up. What demon hunter record is your favorite?
This is so sad. He was incredible. What a talent.
Our hearts are broken in hearing of the passing of Ted Kirkpatrick, a founding member of Tourniquet and the face of the band. He was an incredible musician and an even more gracious human being.
How many of you jammed this classic record?
You got a favorite track from this one? Revocation Radio Steve Taylor
ON THIS DATE: 08/05/1997 - 25 years ago today, Guardian released ‘Bottle Rocket’.
What is your favorite song on the album?
July 13, 2004 - This day in Christian music, Hawk Nelson released their album “Letters To The President”.
In addition to the title track released as a single, it also features the songs “Every Little Thing” and “California” - all the singles were written by the four members of the band. The All Music review by Rick Anderson was not kind, saying “This is one of those crypto-Christian pop bands that can't help expressing its faith but is less interested in bringing you to Christ than in making sure you bop to the beat and take away a general feeling of uplift and encouragement.”
Fortunately, this didn’t slow down HN as they continued to release hit after hit and have become a proud Canadian representation in CCM.
Sad to see him go. Such a huge part of a great band. Curious to see what he does next and who might replace him.
Friends, there’s no easy way to say this. After years of sharing the road, Drew and the band have decided to take different paths, and will be parting ways. He joined us shortly after the release of our 4th album and we’ve shared an incredible journey, full of countless highs and lows together. We love Drew dearly, and we are so thankful for the time and memories we have had. This has certainly been a difficult season for us, encountering challenges that have ultimately taken us in different directions. We have always said that our friendships are more important than the band. And it’s still true: our love for each other is so much bigger than rock and roll. We are excited to see what the next chapter holds for Drew, and also for Switchfoot. We are beyond thankful for the support that all of you have shown us during this challenging time and we remain committed to this community, each other, and to the journey we share together. More now than ever before, hope deserves an anthem.
Drew: we are fans, friends and brothers for life.
Much love to you all,
-jon, tim, chad, jerome

This dude is a great guy and friend. Keep him in your prayers.
Prayers for Dallas.
With sincerity in our hearts we ask the entire industry to gather in prayer for Dallas Taylor (Maylene and the Sons of Disaster). He was just taken by ambulance to the hospital with an intense COVID battle. Dallas is still recovering (5 years now) from complications from a severe accident. We ask all friends of the praying kind to join The Grizzly Awards founders and Dallas' family in seeing him and his loved ones through this tough battle. "Step Up....I'm on it!"

Didn’t know what to expect.... but this is SOLID!
I would love for you to become part of the financial fuel that keeps this great station going. I have been a part of what this station is doing for a long time, originally through the Christian Rock 20 and now as the afternoon drive DJ. If you are looking for somewhere to give you were giving Tuesday dollars to this would be a fantastic place to start.
It's and we need your help! The impact of COVID has been felt all around the world and unfortunately, most of our local, small business sponsors haven't been able to continue their financial support of the station this year. If every listener/Facebook follower gave a gift of just $10 a month, our ministry would be fully funded! You can give by logging on to www.myrevradio.com/give or by sending a text to 45888 with myrevradio as your message. If you're already a donor, thank you so much for your gifts! Please share this post and help us as we continue on our mission to Take Back The Airwaves!

We announced on this past week’s show that March 2020 will be the last month for The Christian Rock 20 radio show. The Christian Rock 20 is and has been one of the loves of my life for over 11 years. I am very proud of the impact it has made on radio stations in the US, UK, Canada and Europe. However, the show has been at a crossroad for a while now. The show either needed to be revamped (a new website, a lot of backend production, etc), or it needed to be put to bed. My commitments to family and work have grown over the past 5 years. Just one of these commitments would not be enough to make me throw in the towel, but together it is proving too much. I don’t want the show to become either a drudge that I (or my family) resent. I also don’t want the show to falter and lose quality because of a lack of time and attention.
Another facet of letting the show go is because of trying to take better care of my family. I have a wonderful wife, who helped with the concept of the show and has always been a huge supporter of what I do. I also have a 4-year-old daughter who is smart, beautiful and a joy. We are also expecting a new addition to our family in the form of a new baby boy who will be born in April. After losing both my mother and mother-in-law over the holiday season I have grown to appreciate family and the time spent with them more than ever.
I am not sure what is next for the CR20 brand. For now, at least, I am not interested in producing a new radio show, nor do I feel I have the time. But, there might be something else down the road that would likely be of interest if you enjoyed The Christian Rock 20. I plan to keep the CR20 social media going and share new Christian Rock news etc. When and if we get something new going, we will let you know through those channels. I do plan to make the CR20 artist interviews available to stream via our YouTube channel over the coming months as well.
For those of you who are interested in keeping up with what I do currently:
I produce The Kevin and Taylor morning show in Nashville, TN on 94FM The Fish.
I host an afternoon show in Birmingham, AL on Revocation Radio.
I DJ parties/weddings/etc.
I also oversee Lipscomb University’s student radio station, The Bison: A Lumination Network Radio Station.
For now, thank you to all for listening, voting, participating, and supporting your favorite artists and bands. For the stations that aired the shows, thank you for taking a chance on me, my show and allowing this show to rock your airwaves for 2 hours each week. Finally, for all the artists and bands who made music played on the show or took the time to do an interview, this show couldn’t have happened without you.
That is all.
Until next time. Keep on Rockin’.
Spoken's own Matt Baird is on the show this week talking about , future music, JR and The Most Un Rock N Roll Thing about him.
