Fully tested and functioning
Extremely useful recording console with facilities like tape ins, line ins, mic ins, pad and trim, 3-band EQ with sweepable mid, fold back and effects auxes, channel pans, inserts, 4 busses with pans, stereo fx return with pans, solo bus, 4 switchable VU meters, master monitor k**b, headphone out, mono switch and monitor switching
Also has sub in, (8)RCA program outs, stereo XLR and 1/4” outs, and (4) XLR program outs
Really an incredible piece of kit, especially in an analog studio!
This mixer can handle a lot of different things at once including reel to reels, cassette decks, effects, headphone cues, metering, monitoring, and broadcast!
Would be absolutely killer for a studio setup with synths, drum machines, and samplers, and is unquestionably at home in a home studio

1980’s Tascam Porta One Ministudio 4-Track Cassette Recorder

Just serviced by Jim Harvath
This machine does not work as a cassette recorder and only works as a mixer
Motor was removed and record sensor bypassed to allow use as a mixer
Controls were chemically cleaned where necessary
On this unit, when switches are in safe mode, the meters indicate individual inputs, when in any other position the meters indicate mixer buss left and right
Unit is tested and is working as a mixer
Full tech report available
If you’re looking for some Tascam preamps for cheap, this is perfect for you!
Runs on batteries or can operate with generic 12v power supply
