Today we had an excellent time tasting Sweetens Cove “Father’s Finish,” a blend of aged Kentucky and Tennessee bourbons finished in cuvée wine barrels and bottled at 98 proof. 🥃

This exceptionally smooth release opens with roasted spice, tart cherry, and apricot on the nose, followed by notes of chess pie and rhubarb on the palate for a rich, balanced mouthfeel. The cuvée barrel finish and added barrel staves bring depth and structure while maintaining remarkable softness and restraint, ending with an elegant finish reminiscent of freshly brewed iced tea on the golf course.
