NEW! Italian hi-fi bar 🐚✨🍸 CALA CALA is officially open in East Nashville!

I’ve basically been watching this one come to life on my walks for months. First the giant clam shell went up, then the neon red sign you can’t miss, and yes, I scoped out the parking situation a while ago 😂

Created by Ryan Costanza of Present Tense + Joshua Walker of Xiao Bao, Cala Cala pairs Italian island cooking inspired by Sicily + the Mediterranean with natural wines, spritzes, cocktails and an always changing soundtrack played through a dedicated hi-fi sound system. 🎶

The Sicilian Crudo is a MUST because those scallops were too yummy. We also loved the spicy tuna, wagyu arancini, beef tallow fries + bar steak. Next time, I’m getting the Swordfish Milanese, since it came recommended.

And don’t skip dessert 🍊 I learned something new: in Sicily, it’s traditional to eat granita with brioche, so their blood orange granita + gelato is served with this.

This is prob one of my new fave spots for SO many reasons. The food, design, music + service are all top notch. And the fact that I can walk here? Even better. 🙌

Want to celebrate Oktoberfest this weekend without the craziness of Germantown? 🍻🍕

Lost and Found Nashville is celebrating Oktoberfest in East Nashville through 10/4, and the Oktoberfest pie from Pizza Lolo is reason enough to go. It’s made a roasted garlic cream base, mozzarella, smoked German sausage, grilled onion, chives, and citrus vin. Def 💯, especially with all those smoky onions. Bring breath mints lol.

Pair it with a German b**r, cocktails from Fortunate Sun 🌞 or 🍷 from B I R D I E ‘ S. If you’re looking for a more chill way to get into the Oktoberfest spirit this weekend, this is a fun option in East Nashville.

PS - I may or may not still have a b**r stein from a trip to Munich + Hofbräuhaus a longggg time ago 👀🍺

A different kind of night out in East Nashville ✨🍹🎶

I’ve driven by Sirocco ever since they opened, and I finally made it in for the first time! We started with dinner and drinks, and I was def pleasantly surprised. We grabbed a few snacks, and my favorites were def the truffle fries with parmesan and garlic aioli and the pistachio shrimp with whipped feta and za’atar honey. 🤤 They also have some really fun experiential cocktails and a very vibey atmosphere. This spot is IG ready!

Then we headed upstairs to their sister spot NYX Rooftop Lounge for more drinks, a fab DJ and rooftop views overlooking East Nashville and downtown. 🌙🍸

If you are looking for a different vibe in East Nashville, this is a fun option for date night, girls’ night or a larger group. 🙌

Scenes from the LA premiere of the hottest new comedy in town, Tiny Fugitives, playing now in theaters nationwide! 🙌 🎥

Starring Johnny Knoxville and produced by Seth Rogen’s Point Grey Pictures, this movie will have you laughing one minute and feeling all the feels the next because it has so much heart, too. ♥️

This R-rated comedy follows a group of reckless 12-year-olds who hatch a chaotic plan to hide out at sleepaway camp permanently. Their nemesis? Bob, the 50 year old camp counselor played by Johnny Knoxville. 🏕️

And I couldn’t be more proud of my nephew, Aaron Harris, who plays Charness, the hilarious, no-filter best friend and co-conspirator of main character Jacob, played by the incredibly talented Benjamin Pajak, currently starring in The Lost Boys on Broadway. ✨

I’ve seen the movie 3x this week, and I already plan on seeing it again real soon. 😂

Serious question though….who’s seeing it with me? 👀🙋‍♀️🎥

Broadway just got a little more tropical. 🌴🎶

Palm Tree Club Nashville, the new rooftop concept from Kygo’s Palm Tree Crew, is officially celebrating its grand opening weekend at Chief’s on Broadway! I checked it out last night for TWINSICK and the rooftop was a whole vibe.

Expect DJs day + night every weekend, with a pretty stacked fall lineup ahead. Kygo himself takes the stage tonight to kick off opening weekend. 🌴🪩
