Homochitto River Festival
October 25, 2025
Meadville, Mississippi

The Main Stage 5:50pm

MAGGIE BROWN & THE VAGABONDS
Vintage Rock, Soul, and Blues
Natchez, Mississippi

Wow! If you haven’t heard yet, MAGGIE BROWN is coming to the Homochitto River Festival and she’s bringing THE VAGABONDS with her! That’s right. Maggie possesses one of the best soulful voices you’ll ever hear and with her voice added to the dynamic sound of The Vagabonds, this combination of soulful music is set to be a performance you will not want to miss!

This powerhouse group delivers a dynamic blend of vintage rock, soul, and blues. With decades of combined experience, Maggie Brown & The Vagabonds pour heart, grit, and groove into every performance.

Fred Parker, a Natchez native, picked up his first instrument at age six. A graduate of the Southern University Jazz Institute, Fred’s musical range spans from bluegrass to rock ’n’ roll. Formerly the drummer for Easy Eddy and the Party Rockers, Fred now drives The Vagabonds with tight rhythms and undeniable groove.

Jerry Williams is a versatile bassist from Natchez who got his start in high school band. A multi-instrumentalist, he also plays keys and guitar and is a talented producer with a full home studio setup. A former member of Easy Eddy and the Party Rockers, Jerry brings depth and precision to the band’s rhythm section.

John Berryhill, also from Natchez, started playing guitar at six and formed his first band as a teen. Known for his soulful slide guitar and Southern rock edge, John is a cornerstone of the local music scene and adds signature swagger to every Vagabonds set.

Matt Willis found his musical beginnings playing piano in church before switching to guitar at 13. With roots in classic and Southern rock, Matt deepened his sound in Birmingham, Alabama, exploring blues, jazz, and fingerstyle picking. His fiery Telecaster riffs and powerhouse vocals bring raw energy to the group.

Maggie Brown, born in Ferriday, Louisiana, began performing in church before hitting h***y tonks in her teens. She brings rhythm guitar, keys, and vocals to The Vagabonds, along with a road-worn spirit forged on tours through Texas, New Mexico, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Nashville. Now rooted in Natchez, Maggie adores making music with her band of brothers.

Hailing from Natchez, Mississippi, Maggie Brown & The Vagabonds are bringing a fiery mix of vintage rock, soul, and blues to the Homochitto River Festival. With decades of experience and a deep love for the stage, The Vagabonds are built to move the crowd.
