Update: I spoke with The Democrat today and they have added a category for Media & Video Production! Please feel free to nominate us if you'd like!

I've had several people reach out and ask how to nominate us in The Natchez Democrat's best of the Miss-Lou Awards. I really appreciate the sentiment.

Unfortunately, at this time you cannot. The Democrat did not include any sort of category for media production or video of any kind, the closest thing is photographer, and wedding videographer, neither of which really accurately represents us or all that we do for the community. This took me a bit by surprise as there are over 250 sub-categories, some being super-specific, and not one that our business could fit into.

I've written to The Democrat about this, if I hear back and they rectify this I'll update the post.

Whether we're deemed eligible for recognition or not, it is our distinct pleasure to serve the Miss-Lou both commercially and through regular donations of services. This past weekend we produced all video and IMAG for the Natchez Legends Juneteenth Celebration, this Fall we will bring live broadcasts of Friday Night Football for nearly a dozen area schools into the homes of friends and family who can't make it to the field, we will continue providing coverage and production for hundreds of community events throughout the year. Thank you for your support.

Hi all! Michael Wilson here, some of you may know me, alot of you probably don't.

I'm a proud graduate of ACCS and co-owner of the company behind ACCSLive, Mid-South Broadcasting.

In my freshman year at AC, myself and Jimmy Allgood started ACCSLive and the streaming program as an off-shoot of the Film & Photography class at that time. AC was among the first highschools in it's size and division in the state to begin livestreaming. A year or so later, when the renewal of internal funding for ACCSLive didn't look like it would be happening, myself and Jimmy founded Mid-South Broadcasting and took it private (with license from AC of course).

Today, Mid-South Broadcasting brings you not only coverage of ACCS, but nearly a dozen other area highschools as well, and also provides services and solutions to churches, organizations, and more.

Anyway, to get to the point, I'm in the running for The Natchez Democrat's "Top 20 Under 40" list of young business professionals, and if you enjoy ACCSLive, I'd really appreciate your vote!

KFNV (107.1 The River) and KWTG (104.7 The Gator) are currently undergoing emergency maintenance. We'll update this post when things are resolved.
