It was a privilege to help share the story of a school that blends academic excellence with strong faith and a commitment to growing future leaders. The dedication and spirit on campus were unmistakable.

Tonight hit different.

We rolled into downtown for NOMS—Natchitoches Original Music Showcase—and it delivered. Local music. Local food. Good people all around. This is exactly what the weekend needed.

Live sets with soul. Burgers from Stoney and Taste Boy Eats that hit like a Southern handshake. And all of it set against the backdrop of St. Denis Street at Taylor Park.

Big props to Laughing Sam’s Discs and every hand involved in pulling this thing together. Natchitoches needs more of this!

3️⃣ Submit & Pay Fees – File your application with the Secretary of State and pay the required fees.

I’ve always been drawn to the background—the observer, the storyteller, the one capturing moments that matter. Whether I’m behind a camera, crafting an article, or building digital content, my goal is always the same: to document, inform, and connect.

My journey started with journalism, sparked by Saturday drives with my dad to pick up the weekend edition of the local paper, a Hubig’s pie, and a cold bottle of Kleinpeter milk. At the time, my focus was on the comic section—specifically Prince Valiant—but those moments instilled a love for storytelling that never faded.

I pursued that passion at the Louisiana Scholars’ College at Northwestern State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in News Editorial Journalism and a minor in Photography. I landed my dream job at the local newspaper, but as technology reshaped the industry, I saw the need to evolve. When the opportunity came to work with an online news journal, I took the leap.

Now, I balance multiple roles that allow me to tell stories and serve the community. As the editor of the Natchitoches Parish Journal, I keep readers informed. Through Poole Media, the business my husband and I built, I help brands craft their digital presence and grow. And at LSMSA, I document the incredible work of students and educators.

Real Estate Professionals, Did You Know...?!

When using drone photography for real estate, it's important to avoid adding property boundary markings to images or videos. Representing property lines without a licensed surveyor’s certification may be considered misrepresentation and could violate state laws regulating land surveying. For accurate boundary representation, always consult a licensed surveyor.

In Louisiana, only licensed professional land surveyors are authorized to perform boundary surveys and represent property lines. Depicting property boundaries in drone imagery without proper licensure may be interpreted as unlicensed land surveying, which is prohibited. To ensure compliance with state regulations, it's advisable to avoid adding property boundary markings to drone images or videos. For accurate boundary representations, always consult a licensed surveyor.

At Poole Media, we are FAA-certified drone operators, which means we are authorized to provide commercial aerial photography and videography for real estate and other industries. However, while we can capture stunning aerial visuals of your property, we cannot add property boundary lines to your images.

Representing property lines without a licensed surveyor's certification can be considered unlicensed land surveying, which is restricted by law. If you need boundary lines marked, we recommend consulting a licensed surveyor to ensure accuracy and compliance.
