For a moment tonight it was the Christmas of 1842. The City Of Van Buren had just become a town. We drank warm mulled apple cider with the Drennen’s and friends, who’s home was decorated in the nostalgic traditional holiday decor, with the family Bible open for display to the greatest story ever told, while a band played carols on the recently invented tuba.
Thank you Drennen-Scott Historic Site and Tom Wing for keeping our city and county’s history alive!
