In Esther 1:1-12 The King Ahasuerus's of Persia declared he wants to organized banquets and the Scripture described his national banquets; he bragged about his geopolirical reach from India to Ethiopia and displayed all his riches. Esther 1:1-12 also describes King Ahasuerus's (also known as Xerxes) joy of his riches and the subsequent conflict with Queen Vashti. The passage details the king's opulent celebration, lasting 180 days, for his officials and the people of Susa. On the seventh day, while merry with wine, he commanded Queen Vashti to appear before him and his guests, but she refused. This refusal infuriated the king and set the stage for the events that follow in the book of Esther
