Thereβs a difference between ππππ π π’ππ and ππππ£πππππ β and the way you frame it will change how you ride.
Pressure sounds like:
βI have to be fast.β
βI canβt screw this up.β
βEveryoneβs watching.β
βI canβt let anyone down.β
Privilege sounds like:
βI get to swing a leg over this horse.β
βI get to run today.β
βI get the chance to try.β
If it starts to feel heavy, stop for a second and remind yourself why youβre here.
Not everyone gets a horse to ride.
Not everyone gets hauled to the rodeo.
Not everyone gets an entry paid.
Not everyone has someone in their corner coaching them.
Not everyone gets the opportunity to compete.
A lot of people would give anything to be in that spot.
When you shift from pressure to privilege, things change.
You breathe.
Your body softens.
Your horse feels it immediately.
Your mind stays where it needs to be.
You donβt owe anyone a win.
You donβt have to prove who you are in one run.
Your job is simple:
Show up.
Ride the horse youβve prepared.
Learn something.
That opportunity alone is the privilege.
ππ€π§ π₯ππ§ππ£π©π¨:
If your kid is carrying pressure, it usually isnβt coming from the horse.
Help them remember why they started riding in the first place.
Your calm, your words, and your support matter more than you realize.
