Hi friends!

Thanks to Taylor Marie at Taylored Acres Flower Farm, the box is stocked up again.

I’ve been so busy this summer I have been slacking on keeping you all updated. I have more to bring down also.

🔔 Please remember that we should primarily be TRADING plants. I never wanted to make it required because I want new growers to be empowered to start, but if the box continues to get cleaned out time after time, I might have to make it a requirement 😞

You can leave cuttings (potted or not), seeds (harvested by you or store bought), small plants, established plants, and more. Giving when taking keeps things available for those who visit behind you 💕

That being said, in the box as of today (Fri, July 10) are:
• Parlor palms
• Rabbit's foot ferns
• Pothos
• Jade plants
• Zz plants

Thank you to all of you who donate plants to the stand. 🥰

Plant box update as of today (Thurs June 18) @ 10:45AM:

Melissa brought a bunch of stuff!

• 2 English Ivy rooted cuttings - indoor plant, beginner friendly
• 2 Owl Eye Pepperomia - indoor plants
• 2 snake plant cuttings
• Burros tail succulent pieces - ready to propagate
• 1 monstera siltepecana - potted indoor plant
• Mystery tomato plant - she thinks black cherry
• Brandywine tomato plants
• Dill - ready to transplant
• Lettuce plants
• Oregano plant - this is a perennial in WI, it’s in the mint family so it spreads. Be mindful when planting in ground.

Remember that trading is encouraged so we can keep it stocked, but not required because we want to encourage beginners to start somewhere also. Don’t be greedy, and give when you can 🙂

Happy growing, friends!

June is Invasive Species Action Month! Whether you’re hiking, camping, on the water or tending to your home garden, educate yourself and take action to help prevent the spread of invasive species.

One common invasive plant that’s in-bloom this time of year is dame’s rocket (Hesperis matronalis). This slender 3-4' plant with four pinkish-purple (or white) petals spreads quickly in forests, along roads and in natural areas. It is sometimes found in “wildflower mixes” and is a restricted invasive species in Wisconsin, which means it is unlawful to transport, transfer or introduce it on the landscape.

Hi friends, sorry to leave you hanging I’ve been busy planting my garden!

BIG update today (as of 8pm on 6/9/26):

🌱 3 full size Dracaena plants (aka corn plants) - these are indoor and very low maintenance plants. They can get huge though, ask me how I know 🤪

🌱 A bunch of spider plants and some of them have runners with pups (spiderettes)

🌱 A bag full of Prickly Pear Cactus - Please please pleaaaaase be careful when handling these. I may bring down a pair of tongs or a thick glove to use and some paper bags or I will bring down some cups to divide them out so they are easier to take.

🌱 Tradescantia Zebrina - these are easy, indoor plants. They propagate easily.

🌱 A syngonium - unsure specific variety. These are also easy and beginner friendly

🌱 3 Aloe

🌱 1 heart leaf philodendron, also beginner friendly

Let me know if you have any questions! Let’s give these plants some new homes. 💕 see you next update!

Hi friends! Here’s your Wednesday (6/03/26) Update:

As of 5:30PM, there is:

• 1 Jade pothos cup of partially rooted cuttings
• 2 Grinch cherry tomatoes (dwarf)
• 1 patio choice yellow cherry tomato (dwarf)
• 1 husky cherry dwarf patio tomato

FYI: Dwarf tomatoes are best for container growing because they only get to be about 12” tall. You do not prune the suckers as they are determinate and will only produce a set amount of fruit in their lifespan.

• 2 Salvia (vista mix) - grows 10-12” tall. These are annuals in Wisconsin. Add to your flower beds!
• 10 containers of red onions(?) ready to transplant. These weren’t labeled so I am just guessing 🤪

You guys snagged the seeds up real quick though!

If there’s something you are in search of please let us know in a comment 💕

Happy growing plant lovers 🫡

Hi friends!

I stopped down today since I had a couple people let me know they dropped stuff off. So here’s today’s update (Friday 5/29 @ 7pm)

• 3 Brussels Sprouts (ready to be transplanted)
• Zucchini plants (ready to be transplanted)
• Cucumber plants (ready to be transplanted)
• 3 cups with Jade Pothos (indoor plant) - partially rooted ready to be potted
• Snap bush bean seeds (great for beginners and still time to plant)
• Marigold seeds

If you’re a beginner and want to try gardening for yourself and/or your kiddos, bush beans are great! Zucchini and cucumbers also are, just require a bit more space. Cucumbers will climb.

🐶 P.S. I refilled the milk bone doggie treats for our park dog walkers! Feel free to stop by if you’re out this way walking your furry friends.
