[PVSD] Summer Feeding Program will begin tomorrow. Breakfast and lunch can be picked up this week on Wednesday and Thursday.

Make sure you get out there and take advantage of the help.

Sharing this statement regarding an alleged incident that involves the Panther Valley School District. This event JUST took place and did NOT happen during the school year so please do not bash the school district. They are releasing what they can regarding the events that have taken place. In regards to the video, it can be found on 814PredHunters page. As we know more and as more is released we will continue to update.

🚨 STATEMENT RELEASED BY PANTHER VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT 🚨

Panther Valley School District has released a statement regarding a video circulating on social media involving an individual employed within the district's Cafeteria and SHINE Program.

According to Superintendent Dave McAndrew, the allegations shown in the video are considered "extremely concerning."

The district says it immediately began working with local law enforcement and appropriate authorities after becoming aware of the situation to gather information and ensure all necessary procedures are being followed.

School officials also stated that the employee involved has been removed from duties involving students while the matter remains under review.
Due to the ongoing investigation, the district says it cannot provide additional details at this time.

Officials emphasized that the safety and well-being of students remains their highest priority and that they will continue cooperating fully with law enforcement.

The district thanked the community for its patience as the investigation moves forward.

PARADE DAY INFORMATION & PARKING NOTICE for 250 / 202

Parade Lineup Participants will begin lining up on East Center Street behind the gas station on Catawissa Street. The 600 block of East Center Street will be used for double-line staging, with participants moved into position in order before the parade begins. Single-file lineup will be used when necessary.

🎉 Parade Route The parade will travel: East Center Street then turn to continue down Railroad Street ending at the Rec Center where the festival will take place.

Participant Arrival Time All parade participants are asked to arrive between 9:00 AM and 9:15 AM to help ensure a smooth start. Parade organizers and volunteers will direct everyone to their assigned positions upon arrival.

Parking Restrictions : No parking will be permitted along the entire parade route beginning at 7:00 AM Saturday until the parade has concluded.

The 300 and 400 blocks of West Railroad Street will have no parking for the entire day.

When the parade is done parking will be allowed along the full length of East and West of Center and Railroad Streets

You make till park on Catawissa Street throughout the day.

Parking on Mill Street and Coal Street will be restricted beginning at 7:00 AM Saturday and will be limited to residents who live on those streets.

Parking areas will be monitored throughout the event.

May 27th Water Rescue in East Penn Twp

🚨 Update: Sadly it is being reported that a 12 year old 6th grade student from New York who was on a Field Trip drowned.

Emergency crews were dispatched around 5:30 PM to the D&L Trail near mile marker 99 in East Penn Township

The child was transported by the Lehighton Fire Department Dive Team to the area known locally as “Marvin Gardens,” where he was later pronounced deceased at 6:50 PM.

According to officials, the boy had already been removed from the river before the Carbon County Coroner’s Office arrived on scene.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday in Allentown to determine the official cause and manner of death.

At this time, the victim’s identity has not been released to allow the family time to grieve.

Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including local fire departments, EMS crews, Carbon County EMA, and the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, which is helping lead the investigation.

Today, a heavy silence hangs over the riverbanks of Carbon County. Please keep this child’s family, friends, classmates, and the first responders involved in your thoughts and prayers.
