The Panther Valley Elementary PTO is raffling off a $150 Lottery Ticket Basket to help raise funds for the Winter family who have two students who currently attend our school in Kindergarten and in 3rd Grade. The Winter family supports the PTO by volunteering, buying, and selling and we want to help them during this difficult time. On Christmas Day they lost their home to a fire. We plan to raffle off the basket on January 12th, and we will be accepting cash, check (made out to PVES PTO), and have set up a Venmo for this cause. All proceeds from the basket raffle will be collected and donated to the Winter Family. If you do not have Venmo, please reach out to an officer. Venmo last 4 digits are 8297 🖤💛🤍

** MISSING JUVENILE**

The Hazleton City Police Department respectfully requests the community's assistance in locating a missing juvenile. Anahea Morel, a 14-year-old female, was last seen departing from her residence in the vicinity of Peace and West 21st Street on the night of December 26, 2025. Unfortunately, her current attire and potential companions are unknown. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is urged to contact 911 immediately.

Tonight should have been all about enjoying time with family but instead 4 families are trying to pick up the pieces from a 3 alarm fire that took everything from them tonight in the borough of Nesquehoning. There is no official word on what caused the fire as the fire marshal is still investigating.
