Find KVMR & KVMRx outside our station home on the corner of Bridge & Spring St. from 6 to 9pm on June 5th for the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce First Friday Art Walk.

🌞 DJ aka KVMRx Program Director Jai Hanes, will be DJing a live set. Passersby can ask questions about spinning vinyl and live DJing.

⭐ Sydney Joyce will be doing 5-minute portraits that, as her slogan says, “may or may not look like you.” And KVMR broadcaster & woman of many talents Tally Mark will lead felting demonstrations.

🌞 Escape the heat with station tours and an indoor craft table in our community room that’s begging you to make your very own KVMR/KVMRx friendship bracelet.

🎠 SATURDAY, June 6th at 6pm come watch us prance our pink pony float down Broad St in Nevada City!

There will be sUrPrIsEs, there will be stickers, music, horses (hobby & possibly otherwise), PINK PONY PRIDE FANS and the best ensembles this side of the Rio Grande.

KVMRx was at the on Sunday live broadcasting the closing night of !

KVMRx DJs shanIMAL (co-host of Generation Drift) and Doc Savage/ .ca (co-host of Rock & Doc) provided commentary and tunes before, between and after the live acts. KVMRx DJ spearheaded the live broadcast for the 2nd year in a row!

🍏 dj name origin?
The show’s name, Gone Scrumping is inspired by phraseology I learned from my British grandma, meaning to steal fruit from other peoples gardens, an activity she said paired well with a spliff. Stone Fruit, well you can see why. A stone cold groove…like a Cornish stone circle. Like a hot summer peach… like a tart black cherry stain on a doily dress… 🍒🍧🎶🕯️🫒⏳🐚🦀
