🙏🏾 Sending prayers to former President Joe Biden and his family.

Hunter Biden shared a difficult update about his father’s battle with prostate cancer, saying the cancer has spread further and that his father is experiencing significant pain. The former president was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that had already spread to his bones in May 2025.

Regardless of anyone’s political views, watching someone you love battle cancer is incredibly difficult. Wishing President Biden strength, comfort, and peace as he continues treatment, and keeping his family in thoughts and prayers during this challenging time. 🙏🏾💙

Cancer affects families from every walk of life.

🎧 ALBUMS THAT HAVE BEEN IN MY ROTATION THIS YEAR 🔥

I think I might turn this into a little music check-in series every so often because I’ve had a few albums on repeat this year.

🎙️ Kehlani – Kehlani

This album got me through a lot emotionally. It’s one of those projects that just meets you wherever you are. The songwriting, the vulnerability, the production… and those VOCALS? Absolutely insane. Every time I go back to it, I hear something new.

Favorite songs:
🎵 Cruise Control
🎵 I Need You
🎵 Oooh
🎵 Shoulda Never
🎵 You Got It

🤎 Chris Brown – Brown

This one might be controversial… but so what. 😂 It’s my ears and I’m gonna listen to what I enjoy.

I wasn’t even sold on this album at first. After sitting with it and giving it another listen, it really grew on me. Then the deluxe came out and made it even stronger.

“No Signal” has literally been in my rotation EVERY DAY. 🔥 It reminds me of the feeling I got when I first heard “Residuals.” It’s the lyricism and emotion that keep pulling me back.

Favorite songs:
🎵 No Signal
🎵 It’s Not You, It’s Me
🎵 It Depends
🎵 Something in the Water
🎵 Present
🎵 Won’t Let Me Leave
🎵 4Ever

🙏🏾 Tori Kelly – God Must Really Love Me

I was definitely late discovering Tori Kelly, but wow… what a voice.

This album feels like a love letter to yourself. It’s uplifting, encouraging, and beautifully written. From my understanding it’s rooted in gospel inspiration, but it never feels boxed into one sound. It just feels honest.

If you haven’t listened to this one yet, I highly recommend giving it a chance.

Favorite songs:
🎵 Control
🎵 Pray For You
🎵 Bird
🎵 Mine

💎 Latto – Big Mama

This album gets me HYPED every single time.

“Chrome Heart Diaper Bag” is chef’s kiss. 💋 That song makes me feel like I can accomplish anything. Then you’ve got “Gimme Dat,” which is giving lover girl anthem energy and I absolutely love it.

Latto really delivered a fun, confident project that I keep coming back to.

Favorite songs:
🎵 Chrome Heart Diaper Bag
🎵 Gimme Dat
🎵 Hostage
🎵 Okayyy
🎵 Fallin’
🎵 Get Money Girl
🎵 Make Me

Overall, these four albums have been carrying me this year in different ways—whether I needed healing, motivation, confidence, or just something to vibe to.

Hopefully we’ve got even more great music on the way before the year is over.

🎶 What’s one album that’s been in heavy rotation for you this year? Put me on! 👇🏾

🌻 Hello, August.

A new month means new opportunities, new mercies, and new reasons to keep believing.

No matter what July looked like, August is a reminder that God is still writing your story. Every setback, every delay, every unanswered prayer has purpose, even when we don’t understand it yet.

This month, choose faith over fear.
Choose peace over worry.
Choose gratitude over complaints.
Choose growth over giving up.

May August bring healing where there’s pain, strength where there’s weakness, clarity where there’s confusion, and blessings that remind you God has never left your side.

Keep showing up.
Keep praying.
Keep trusting.
Your breakthrough could be closer than you think.

✨ Welcome, August. Let’s walk into this month with hope, purpose, and expectation.

📖 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” — Isaiah 43:18–19 (NIV) 🙏
