WHEN IT RAINS .... - WOW, what a big day in the world of zines and comics!

First, a batch of zines from Risma Bookstore in Rome arrived to replenish my supply of World Zines for FANzine Live. So much goodness there, can't wait to share (with the help of Google Translate)!

Then, Steve Willis sent his latest jam, Off-Center Comix (with a Steve Keeter jam) and a couple Morty Comix!

All while reading up in preparation for recording next week's videos...the train keeps a-rollin'...

Holy Canolis, this is one big book of alternative comics by legendary underground cartoonist Steve Willis. Publisher Tom Fellrath of Phoenix Productions has collected and reprinted the first six issues of Cranium Frenzy by Steve Willis (1981-1990) often featuring his irreverent alternative persona, Morty the Dog. Labeled "volume 1," this tome contains almost 200 pages in expanded digest format (originally published on folded and saddle-stapled legal paper), perfect bound, with color stock covers. $20/book from Amazon.com. * Two more editions of Tablebeast from Jesse Mesa Savage (with an interesting note suggesting he is inspired to use the "minicomic" folding/cutting format in new applications...?)

* HMPH! #4 & The Orp #1 from Alan Sissom
