Fun time at the Pickerington Public Library's annual Comic Fest! So glad to return, and even better when sharing space with Carl M Lucas and J.m. Hunter. Those guys put in the work in applying the craft on every level!

Then, top top off a pleasant afternoon, the Library accepted a donation of the entire (so far) Phoenix Masters library of books from Willis, Bolman and the Hutchinsons. No other library on this side of the Mississippi that I know of has the finest cartoon adaptation of Hamlet in circulation...you gotta go to Pickerington!

To paraphrase the film, we're bonafide! We've got prospects!

Such a loss. I wish I had known of Lent and his work earlier...the two Journals in my possession are amazing works.

Bart Beaty returns to the Journal to pay homage to the late scholar John Lent, who died on May 16.

We lost Larned Justin a year ago today. A prolific illustrator and cartoonist in his own right, Larned also co-hosted the Talking Small Press Comics channel on YouTube. Today's FANzine Live Editor's Note shares one of his videos that meant a great deal to me personally. We miss you, Larned.
