With attention split between kickoff and kickoff returns, the 2026 box office dipped to $61.7M, still outperforming the last three Super Bowl weekends. For the second straight week, Disney and 20th Century’s SEND HELP held the #1 spot with $10.0M. At $35.8M domestic, it remains the highest-grossing new release of the year so far.

With the new releases, Angel Studios’ romantic comedy SOLO MIO found its audience at #2, debuting with $7.2M and topping the list of newcomers. Rounding out the top three, Iron Lung (from Markiplier) landed at #3 with $6.0M in its second weekend, pushing its domestic total to $31M.
