Kevin Hart says a new era of comedy is officially on the horizon — and Indianapolis’ own Mike Epps is front and center.
During a recent conversation on Carmelo Anthony’s “7PM in Brooklyn” podcast, Hart revealed that he, Epps, and Katt Williams have put years of tension behind them and are now in active talks to form what he calls a cultural and comedic “supergroup.”
According to Hart, the trio has been quietly building out ideas for a major collaborative project that could mirror the iconic impact of Harlem Nights and give fans the kind of unified, powerhouse comedy moment they haven’t seen in decades.
Hart said their reconciliation came with age and real conversations, noting that “picking up the phone does a lot” and that all three men recognize the responsibility they carry as leaders in the comedy world. Now, instead of competing or clashing, they’re working toward a shared vision — one that brings their talents together on screen in a way Hart says the culture “desperately deserves.”
For Indianapolis, the news hits differently. Mike Epps has long been a hometown hero, and a project that puts him alongside Kevin Hart and Katt Williams at this level would mark one of the biggest comedy collaborations of this generation.
If this “supergroup” becomes a reality, what would you want to see them create? A movie? A tour? A modern Harlem Nights? Let us know your thoughts.
