📸 CALL FOR ART: Alternative Photography

Gallery X is now accepting submissions for its 3rd Annual Alternative Photography Exhibition, juried by photographer and photojournalist David Walega.

The exhibition celebrates historic, handmade, analog, and experimental photographic processes: from cyanotype and pinhole photography to wet plate collodion, photogravure, lumen prints, and more.

We took a closer look at Walega’s background in photography, Gallery X’s more than three decades in New Bedford’s art scene, the history behind alternative photographic processes, and the important dates artists need to know before submitting.

Gallery X is now accepting submissions for its 3rd Annual Alternative Photography Exhibition, juried by photographer and photojournalist David Walega.
