Look who showed up! Ms Ruth, she was named after Eric’s great grandmother. She has been here for a few years and shows up on our front step looking for food. She came the other evening when the grandkids were here and they got to see her eat. She is very old, probably older than Eric and I. 🤣🤣She loves cantaloupe, tomatoes, and worms. We never know when she is coming, but it’s usually on the front porch waiting for us to feed her.

My future farm stand is coming along. I can’t wait to get the roof on.

Available in bouquets with fresh mint added to the bouquet to be used for mint tea or the aromatic mint smell in your home.

WHAT!
Look what Eric bought me to go beside our farm stand. 🤩🎉

YES! We are buying decor before we have the farm stand built. This is so typical for us. 🤣🤣

Oh! Did you see the the matching solar lights. Mint green y’all ! One of my favorite colors next to picture of course! 🩷🩷

The garden is coming along nicely. It won’t be long and we will have flowers and fabulous veggies at the New Bern Farmer's Market.
This years veggies will include:
Onions, potatoes, tomatoes, egg plant, cucumbers, beets, carrots, radishes, peppers, squash, and kohlrabi.
I can’t wait, there is nothing better than fresh home grown veggies!

😳 oh my look what I found.
The smaller egg is really the normal size egg 🥚 and the huge egg is the double Yolker 🍳 , I’m assuming.

From a gardening standpoint, 2024 wasn’t very good for us. We lost an entire crop to heat and then water.
BUT
We are not giving up and are moving forward in 2025! We are doing things a little different with our garden, but we are moving full steam ahead!
SO
You will definitely see us more and more on here.

One goal I have this year is to open my farm stand at our house. I will try to sell veggies and eggs. I’ll keep you posted.

Wow!

Look what we found in a bale of hay.
Hickory horned caterpillar 🐛

This thing was HUGE!
It was larger in diameter than my fingers.

It’s living in the woods now. Happy life!

SAD SAD DAY!

These are a few pictures of our garden after Tropical Storm Debby. ☔️💨🌧

Our garden went through several weeks of no rain to nonstop rain then the final straw on the garden was Tropical Storm Debby. 💨🌧

After several weeks of rain, we lost a lot of our tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, and squash……

So…..we started to replant tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers. These pics are the new plants. 😞😡😞😢

After being sad, tears, anger, tears, and more sadness…….we will start over fresh with our Fall garden. Everything will go and all new will be planted.

Debby will not stop our garden! 💗💗🥦🥬🥒🥕🍆🫑💗💗

Picked the last 5 cucumbers today.
Tore out the old and planted the new cucumbers 🥒

Now….praying for rain to get my 🥒to grow.
