Today's Good News: MN siblings Susan and Jeffrey Bergeman just graduated from high school this year. Jeffreyโ€™s confined to a wheelchair, and Susan didn't want him to miss out on stuff, so she ran cross-country in high school for four years and brought him along for all of her races. She pushed him in his chair so he could be part of it and also pushed him across the stage at their graduation this spring. She's now running cross-country at college, and says she runs every race FOR him instead of with him now. She's studying to be a physician's assistant. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅ‡๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜˜

You may remember the inspiring teen who pushed her brother's wheelchair at every high school cross country meet. Now, the siblings are entering a new chapter.

Today's Good News: An AZ cow escaped from a slaughterhouse and won her freedom, and now she's got a new home and might already have a boyfriend. The escape happened a few weeks ago and footage of her running around a town near Phoenix went viral. The owner of Aimee's Farm Animal Sanctuary got in touch with the slaughterhouse and asked how much it would cost to buy the cow. They gave her 24 hours to come up with $2,500, so she reached out to donors, and raised it in half that time. They named her Mootilda, and she'll get to live out the rest of her life on a farm. They've been posting videos and say she's been spending quite a bit of time with a bull who lives on the farm named Adorabull. โค๏ธ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜˜

'Mootilda' has found her forever home at a local sanctuary, where she will live the rest of her days roaming free with her farm animal friends.

Today's Good News: VA woman Carrie Edwards hit the Powerball for $150K last week and donated all of it to charity. She wrote three checks for 50 grand to three different groups: a nonprofit farm and food justice organization working for โ€œan equitable food system in Richmondโ€; the Navy-Marine Relief Society, which provides financial, educational and emergency assistance for active-duty service members, vets and their families; and the third charity helps families of people with early-onset dementia. Today's Good News: Ever since Nate Bargatze's Boys & Girls Club stunt at the Emmys, the organization has received more than double the donations compared to this time last week, and the search interest is at a record high. Nate said he'd donate $100K to the Boys & Girls Club, but he'd take away $1K for every second that winners went over their allotted speech time, and he'd add $1K for every second they left on the table. The group said, "The $350K donation [from Nate and CBS] will be incredibly impactful to our programs and in the lives of kids and teens who attend our Clubs. But this moment was about more than the donation for us, it was also special because it placed our mission and our Club Kids on a national stage." โค๏ธ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜˜

The Boys & Girls Clubs of America has seen a surge in donations after a controversial fundraising stunt at the Emmy Awards.

Today's Good News: New Yorker Asher Rosenfeld began the Audibles with Asher program during the pandemic, when he was just 12, hosting weekly individual reading sessions over Zoom for kids and young adults with special needs. He wanted to give them a routine and something to look forward to during a difficult time. Asher is now 17 and heโ€™s still seeing the same folks every week on Zoom to read books and further their friendships. Asher reads to each participant, then he donates and ships the books, as well. Asher said โ€œOver time, Iโ€™ve realized itโ€™s not actually about the books, itโ€™s about the connection that happens while weโ€™re reading and hanging out. Thatโ€™s the part thatโ€™s stuck and the part that matters most to me.โ€ โค๏ธ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜˜

During the pandemic, 12-year-old Asher Rosenfeld began reading books over Zoom for youth with special needsโ€”and at 17, is still reading.
