Good morning ENC! Starting to sound like a broken record here, but we have another day of scattered heavy rainfall in store. Ponding of water on roadways and isolated instances of flash flooding are possible through tonight as we could see a couple waves of rainfall over the next 18-24 hours.

8/12 @ 3 PM: Widespread showers and thunderstorms will pose a risk for heavy rainfall and isolated flash flooding across portions of ENC for the next several hours. The greatest risk of flash flooding will be for urban and poor drainage areas, including the cities of Greenville and Jacksonville, and other areas that are already saturated from recent rains over the past several days. A flood advisory is in effect for Greenville and surrounding areas.
Make sure to have multiple ways to get warnings, and avoid flooded road ways. Remember, turn around, don't drown!
