Backstreet Boys have extended their "Into The Millennium" residency at Sphere into New Year's Eve weekend. They now are adding seven dates covering Valentine's Day. 💝

📌 On this day in 1990, Prince released the soundtrack to Graffiti Bridge.

Graffiti Bridge is a sequel to Purple Rain. Prince wrote, directed and starred in the movie. While both movies weren't considered major blockbusters, their accompanied albums were hits. Especially Graffiti Bridge, which was his third consecutive chart-topper. Nearly every song on the record was written by Prince, including songs not performed by him personally. 🎶

UPDATE ON NC12 IN THE OBX:

NC12 remains CLOSED at the Marc Basnight Bridge this morning as Hurricane Erin continues to make a mess of things on NC12.

Current road conditions:
Kitty Hawk – No issues, minor blown sand, roadway is passable.

Pea Island – Some overnight over wash and deep blown sand on roadway. Section closed.

Buxton North End – Overwash occurred most of last night and during this morning's tide. Sand and standing water on roadway. Section closed.

Hatteras – Major overwash with dune breaches at yesterday high tide. Deep sand, water, and debris covering the roadway. Section closed.

Ocracoke – Major over wash. Large sections of the protective dune are flat. Section is closed.

Rodanthe – Significant over wash on several secondary sections.

Next high tide is around 7:00PM. The good news is that Hurricane Erin is beginning to move away from us. Crews will be out working to clear what they can. As of now we do not have an ETA on reopening the highway.
