Last week we all celebrated Independence Day. The day that we as Americans get to reflect on and celebrate the freedoms we enjoy in our country, thanks to all of those who worked, bled and died to make us a free nation, and thanks to all of those who continue to do so.

New Boston FFA is joining the efforts to help our neighbors in the Texas Hill Country recover from the devastating floods they’ve seen over the past few days. Information sent out by ag chapters in the affected area about donation needs have included gift cards from the places listed on the flier. We would like to ask our community and supporters to join us in collecting gift cards that will be sent to support those in need in Kerr County.

Gift card or cash donations can be dropped off at the New Boston ISD Ag Building building from July 8-16 during the hours if 7:30 am-3 pm. Additionally, we’ve been told that including the amount written on the outside of the card will help in sorting and distributing when they are received.

If you have any questions please feel free to reach out!

Our thoughts and prayers are with all affected by these catastrophic floods in Kerr County and surrounding areas.
