Muziky, Muziky- This Czech polka standard is one of many songs I remember first seeing in sheet music from the Vitak-Elsnic music company when I started exploring my father’s music library as a young musician. Looking over arrangements that included the Melody and Harmony parts in 2 Bb Cornets, as well as interesting counter melodies, fills, and obligatos from Clarinets, Trombones (or Violins and Cellos), were matched with the importance of the bass lines in how all the parts of music can come together. This solo accordion performance is how I’ve distilled the different music arrangements (still available at vitak-elsnic.com) and recordings I have heard over the years. My buddy, Danny Jerabek, recorded a kicking version of this tune on his solo album- “The Bohemian." Czech it out! ;)
