I feel like the a** hole and a little petty but am I really?
I have a corner house in a subdivision. I've lived here for 12 years. The property was surveyed when I bought it. I have always been aware of my property lines. About 5 years ago, I decided to put up a fence. When the holes were originally dug for the fence posts, my neighbor complained that I was encroaching on her property. I was a little perplexed because I knew i wasn't. But, I was trying to build the fence and appease her so I covered the holes and went to the city and got the plots that show our property boundaries. The holes were dug again well inside my property. She was told the plots were used. My neighbor still made comments about me being on her property. At this point, I was over it because I knew not only was I not on her property, I built the fence and excluded a very small area of my yard to suit her. Fast forward several years later. We are rebuilding the fence because the picket fence didn't hold up well. My neighbor comes outside to my fiance and ask him to stop working on the fence as she believes the fence is in her yard and she's having her property surveyed. She said she thought since we were rebuilding, now would be the perfect time to fix this once and for all. The survey shows not only am I on my property, but I have excluded more of my yard than I thought from the fenced in area. My fiance continues rebuilding the fence which now includes moving the posts to utilize the entire yard up to 2 inches of the property line. My fiance says he would have gladly moved if it were on her property. If she would not have done the survey and clearly outlined the boundaries, we would have rebuild on the existing posts. Am I a petty Betty a**hole for moving the post as a result of her survey or did she bring this about by trying to be queen on the hill and claim too much land?

"I am 82 years old, I have 4 children, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a room of 12 square meters.
I no longer have a home or expensive things, but I have someone who will clean my room, prepare food and change my bedding, measure my blood pressure and weigh me.
I no longer have the laughter of my grandchildren, I don't see them growing, hugging and arguing. Some come to me every 15 days, some every three or four months, and some never.
I don't bake cakes, I don't dig up the garden. I still have hobbies and I like to read, but my eyes quickly hurt.
I donโ€™t know how much longer, but I have to get used to this loneliness.
Here at home, I lead group work and help those who are worse than me as much as I can.
Until recently, I read aloud to an immobile woman in the room next to me, we used to sing together, but she died the other day. They say life is getting longer. Why?
When Iโ€™m alone, I can look at photos of my family and memories I brought from home. And that's all.
I hope that the next generations will understand that families are born to have a future (with children) and that they do not forget about the family even in old age."

There is a little coffee shop, where two people arrive and approached the counter.
โ€œFive coffees please. Two for us and three hanging.โ€
They paid, they took their two coffees and left.
I asked the waiter. "Whatโ€™s this about hanging coffees?"
โ€œWait and you'll see."
Some more people came in.
Two girls asked for a coffee each, they paid & left.
The following order was for seven coffees and it was made by three women - โ€˜three for them and four hanging coffees.โ€™
I was left wondering...what is the meaning of the hanging coffees, they leave.
Then, a man dressed in worn clothes, who looks like he might be homeless, arrives at the counter and asks sincerely...
โ€œDo you have a coffee hanging?"
โ€œYes we do, sir.โ€
They serve him a coffee.... I got my answer.
People pay in advance for a coffee that will be served to whoever can't afford a hot drink.
This tradition started in Naples.
Amazingly, it has spread throughout the worldโ€™s cities and towns.
Itโ€™s also possible to order not only "hanging coffees" but also a sandwich or a full low cost meal.
Wouldnโ€™t it be great if we could all start doing this in the cities and towns where we live?
Small kindnesses like this can impact so many lives, in ways we could never imagine.
Maybe we should all try it.โค๏ธ๐Ÿซก

Elvis was cruising around Memphis with his friend Eddie Fadal one day in the early 1960โ€™s when he remembered he had to make a very important call.
He checked his pockets for a dime, but couldnโ€™t find one.
Fadel didnโ€™t have any change either.
A man was walking by just then and saw the two men searching there pockets.
He produced a dime and gave it to Elvis.
While Elvis made the phone call, he asked Fadel to follow the stranger and get his name and address so that he could send him a little thank-you note.
Three weeks later, the kind stranger received a letter of thanks.
Elvis wrote that he wanted to repay him for his good deed, and so the mortgage on his house was now paid in full!
The man was utterly speechless.
When he told his family and friends the story, no one would believe him.
In order to prove he was telling the truth, he showed Elvisโ€™s letter along with the deed to his house, silencing the non believers immediately.

Leonard Bullock, 75, and his wife Dorothy have lived in their home near a railroad yard in Pendleton, Oregon, since 1982. Over the years, they struggled to keep up with house maintenance due to financial challenges.
For four years, a railway worker named Josh Cyganik had waved to Leonard from afar but never actually spoke to him. Then, one day, he overheard two teenagers making fun of Leonardโ€™s house. They joked that it looked so bad it should just be burned down. When Josh saw the hurt on Leonardโ€™s face, he knew he had to do something.
A few days later, Josh asked Leonard if he and some friends could repaint the house. He also got a local hardware store to donate supplies. Then, he shared the story on Facebookโ€”and to his surprise, over 100 people showed up that Saturday.
Volunteers painted the house, repaired the porch, made it wheelchair accessible, and even gathered materials to replace the roof, which is still in progress.
That night, around 10:00 P.M., a friend of Joshโ€™s drove by and saw Leonard and Dorothy sitting on their porch, smilingโ€”grateful for the kindness of their community.โค
โœ… God bless all the people that donated material and labor for this awesome act of caring.

In the blink of an eye another day is gone,
In the blink of an eye another week is gone.
In the blink of an eye another month is gone,
In the blink of an eye another year is gone.
And in the blink of an eye I'll be gone too,
And not just me but also you.
So maybe we should be wishin' and hopin',
That we could just keep our eyes open.
And see and appreciate all that we can see,
And learn how we can be, the best that we can be,
Before it's too late,
Time flies, so let's not wait.
Whether we have just one life or many, one thing is true,
We should try to enjoy every moment we can; it's the wisest thing to do.

Garbage collectors in Ankara, Turkey, started noticing an increasing number of books being thrown away. Rather than let them end up in landfills, they began rescuing the books. Initially, they shared the books with colleagues and families. As the collection grew, they decided to create a public library in an abandoned brick factory within the ร‡ankaya district.

The library has been a huge success. It offers a wide range of books and even has a mobile library built into a converted garbage truck to reach more people. It's become a community hub, a place to promote literacy and the joy of reading.

A confident, large woman in a sleeveless sundress strolled into a bar, raising her right arm high. The gesture revealed an exceptionally hairy armpit, which she displayed without hesitation as she called out, โ€œWhich one of you fine gentlemen will buy a lady a drink?โ€

The room fell into an awkward silence as patrons suddenly found their glasses and tables very interesting. But from the far end of the bar, a heavily intoxicated man banged his fist on the counter and slurred, โ€œGet the ballerina a drink!โ€

The bartender, stifling a chuckle, poured her a drink, which she downed with gusto. Not missing a beat, she repeated her performance, raising her arm and declaring, โ€œWhoโ€™s buying the next round?โ€

Once again, the drunk enthusiastically pounded the bar and yelled, โ€œAnother drink for the ballerina!โ€

Unable to contain his curiosity, the bartender leaned over and whispered, โ€œHey, itโ€™s your money, but why do you keep calling her a ballerina?โ€

The drunk turned to him with a lopsided grin and said, โ€œAny woman who can lift her leg that high has gotta be a ballerina!โ€ ๐Ÿ˜‚

ONCE AGAIN, we are being reminded that the most valuable linemen are not in the NFL. They are the ones that climb up poles and crawl into lift baskets in frigid temperatures to maintain and restore our lifestyles.
Thanks to all the fine folks who go to great heights to provide comfort for the rest of us. โค๏ธ
