After losing his 24-year-old son Eric in a motorcycle accident, retired train conductor Chris Arsenault found a new purpose.
He started rescuing homeless cats! and never stopped.
Today, his Happy Cat Sanctuary on Long Island houses over 300 rescue cats. 🐱❤️
He's saved cats from hoarding situations, condemned homes, and even from being used as bait in dog fighting rings. Every single one is neutered, has vet care, and gets daily love and attention.
He built heated outdoor shelters, jungle gyms, ramps, and little cat doors so every cat has what they need. And at bedtime? They all squeeze into his room to snuggle with him. 🥹
"It's unconditional love. The cats just know that you're helping them."
One man. 300+ lives saved. All in memory of his son. 💛
