EAST TEXAS FORECAST for your Tuesday

Storm chances increase across East Texas tomorrow as a cold front and leftover boundaries help spark scattered thunderstorms through the afternoon and evening. Some storms could become strong to severe with damaging winds and large hail being the primary threats.

The atmosphere will be very unstable with plenty of heat and humidity in place, so any storm that develops could intensify quickly. Areas farther west and southwest of East Texas may see the greatest severe potential, but everyone should stay weather aware tomorrow.

Damaging wind gusts
Large hail
Frequent lightning
Heavy downpours

‼️EAST TEXAS SEVERE WEATHER ALERT ‼️TUESDAY :

All eyes on East Texas into Arkansas today as a SLIGHT RISK (Level 2/5) is in place.

Timing:

Late afternoon → overnight

Threats:

• Large hail (main concern)
• Damaging winds
• A few isolated tornadoes can’t be ruled out

Best chance locally:

Tyler, Longview, Marshall, up toward Texarkana
Storms look scattered, but anything that gets going could turn strong quickly especially heading into the evening hours.

I’ll be watching closely, if you’re out chasing or traveling, stay weather aware and have a way to get warnings!

It’s a warm, muggy day across East Texas with highs in the mid 80s and a mix of sun and clouds.

⚠️ ‼️Heads up for tonight: Storm chances increase late this evening, especially after sunset. A few storms could become strong to severe.
Main threats:
- Large hail
-Damaging wind gusts
-Heavy rain & lightning
- Possible tornadoes

Not everyone will see storms, but if you do, they could get strong quickly after dark.
Stay weather aware tonight and make sure you have a way to receive alerts while you sleep!
