Never buy a kitchen refrigerator. They SUCK and their warranty sucks. I did HOURS of research on appliances and reviews seemed good. The fridge felt sturdy and nice. So I went with kitchenaid for everything. The ice maker makes 8 cubes A DAY. I called warranty and they sent someone out to repair. (A brand new fridge) the warranty guy says "oh this is normal". Mind you, the website says it should make 3lbs a day...then it stopped making ice and we had to have it replaced again.
Ok whatever. So I bought a nugget maker. Fast-forward, we've only had this fridge for about 2 months, and now produce won't last. Fruits and vegetables get soggy, freeze, and spoil in just days. On top of that, the freezer isn't defrosting properly, so everything is covered in ice crystals.
I've asked warranty for a full replacement, but they keep sending repair people instead. At this point, I don't even want the fridge anymore. It's been nothing but frustration, and the worst part is that all my appliances are KitchenAid.
Save yourself the headache. If you're shopping for appliances, skip KitchenAid. They are NOT worth it.
