Will this spinner help me catch trout?

I’m very new to fishing and my dad gave me this spinner. I live on a lake with lots of brown trout, tiger trout, and a couple rainbows. Will this spinner help me catch those fish? And if not should I add a trailer or something? (Weighs 4 grams)

Question about braid

Sort of new to fishing and just got my first bait caster, its a medium power fast action 7 foot, I heard braided line is good for them so I got 15 pound braided and then 12 pound fluorocarbon leader.
