My 5th Burn proved to be exactly the sort of restoration I needed. Seeing the resilience and communal effort in people impacted by the extreme weather in the week laid the foundation for experiencing the immense gratitude of the many givers on Playa.
Every year, I go to the Burn with an intention to give more authentically, and with , I find myself extraordinarily able to provide a loving, (and extremely fun) place for q***r people to dance, celebrate and meet kindred spirits. Giving this gift with almost 80 other committed, welcoming, and inclusive people is one of my greatest joys all year, and reminds me why I feel called to creating music and spaces all year long.
Experiencing this burn without a mustache also gave me the most wonderful opportunity to reflect on what I’ve built in the Default world and how I fit into it. By the end of the burn, I found myself exploring new sides of my creativity that I hadn’t connected with in some time.
Don’t worry! The mustache is definitely growing back (I missed it!), but I will always carry with me the lessons of this year’s adventure on Playa, and I can’t wait to make the changes in my Default world life to keep the magic alive until I return to Black Rock City. .

Time for Burn Number Five! I’ll be camping with this year and am STOKED to mix music with friends at some of my fave places on Playa. (Expect groovy, housey moments and plenty of surprises…and yes, no mustache 😂)
After taking a year off last year, I’m beyond excited to return to the dust and reconnect with this special world, its creatures and the magic we make in it. It’s not secret that .fip is largely inspired by Burning Man and it’s 10 Principles. Can’t wait to come home. 🥹

This is 35.

What a truly incredible trip around the sun.

As someone who frequently leans into silliness and joy, I’ve often wrestled with what it means to mature while nurturing my sense of wonder.

Am I meant to “grow up”? To become more focused, ignoring varied pursuits—however exciting and meaningful?

Or am I meant to eschew the “traditional” and lean into my creative instincts, trusting they’ll lead me to my most authentic life?

Over the past year, I’ve come to appreciate the power of my diverse experiences in shaping both my life and my career:

How could I create and mix layered jazz instrumentals and harmonies if it weren’t for years of choral music, marching band, and musical theatre?

How could I chat in American Sign Language from the DJ booth if I hadn’t grown up next to Gallaudet University, in a house where we only communicated in ASL?

How could I build websites and branding for my parties and DJ career if I hadn’t created (sometimes dangerously successful) viral comedy websites in my 20s?

How could I effectively work on the business side of my art career without having spent years running my own research firm?

I think there’s a great temptation for artists to project themselves as all-about-the-music people who just focus on doing one thing really well—avoiding all side quests. But at 35, I now see that my diverse life experiences aren’t time wasted away from music—they’re an essential part of my art.

Thank you—yes, you—for allowing me to become part of your wonderful journeys around the sun, as you’ve made mine more special each year.

What could be more New York than DJing PRIDE in Times Square?!

I first saw the bright lights of Times Square as a 13-year-old, nervous, closeted boy from Texas, so getting to DJ PRIDE on the stage was really a dream come true for that ‘lil guy. 🥹

Thank you to all of the dancers and the incredible team for an experience I’ll never forget. Huge hugs to , , and momager for making this magic happen.

It was such a pleasure to share the stage with the legendary and …and who could pass up the opprtunity to sample caviar and dance with !?

Already can’t wait until next time!

Still riding high after DJing on the iconic stage at Festival for WeHo Pride! I couldn’t have asked for a better day serving up my favorite disco and house tracks while serving to the crowd (literally via slingshot 😛)

MOMAGER HIT THE BIG 3-0!

For those of you who have been living under a rock, allow me to flip it over and tell you how proud I am of this Matthew Conrado human.

Despite having recently become very old, Matthew Conrado exemplifies what it means to empower and build community. A fierce defender of his principles and his friends, Matthew fights for what’s right, shows up consistently for those around him, and understands what it means to be a long-term pillar of support. (Thank God he’s q***r, because I’d be terrified if any other community had a powerhouse like him.)

Even before Matthew became my Momager, I knew him as a powerfully brave, loving person who built a successful life around standing up for what’s right… and that was all in his mid-20s!

It’s truly a privilege to celebrate Matthew’s journey, as he continues to inspire me with his drive, commitment, creativity, and passion for life. I know few people who find as many ways to squeeze the magic out of life like Matthew does. And seeing him share this energy with others through is beyond impressive—I can’t wait to see what the future holds! 🥹

From Madison Square Garden and international touring to Harvard and my first big festival gig at OUTLOUD next week, Matthew has been an essential part of making my music dream come true. I will always be grateful for the way he’s transformed my life. (For Good. I couldn’t resist. I really couldn’t 🧙‍♀️)

I’m beyond thrilled to DJ at this year’s Music Festival on the iconic, glitter-soaked stage — on the same lineup as legends and !! Somebody pinch me. 🫠
