Season 18:7 Doing a little rewatch and this scene stood out. Robyn and Meri are discussing the struggles Kody is having with the family. Meri: “why isn’t he doing anything about it?” Robyn, just a moment before, was acting emotional and “crying” over the state of the family. But then quick attitude change, says “What do you mean? What’s he supposed to do about it?” I think this says it all about why things are the way they are. Robyn enabling Kody by acting like there’s nothing he should be doing.. I think we can all agree there’s so much he could be doing!

Given the years of tension between patriarch Kody and his ex-wives—Meri, Janelle, and Christine—he felt it was time to move on. PEOPLE has an exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming Sister Wives episode, in which Kody reveals to his current wife, Robyn Brown, that he wants to close a new chapter in their lives by taking responsibility for his role in the drama.
​"After all that happened, it still feels weird in Coyote Pass," Kody explained to Robyn while they were dining at a restaurant in the November 30 episode. He was referring to the sale of their shared property in Coyote Pass, which had been finalized in the previous episode and sparked an uncomfortable dispute with Janelle and Meri. The former couple reportedly didn't speak to Kody or Robyn when they signed the papers for their property.
​Kody continued, "Then when you talked to me about therapy, I started praying, trying to think, 'God, what do I need to do to resolve this mess and what I'm feeling?' I started feeling a strong sense that I needed to apologize."

Robyn Brown expressed her opinion on who should be held responsible for Kody Brown's estrangement from most of his adult children.
​On the November 23rd episode of Sister Wives, Robyn and Kody discussed the current difficult situation between Kody and his adult children.
​"I think there are some hurt feelings, misunderstandings, and influences that are going on," Robyn revealed in her conversation with Kody.
​"Some pretty intense influences," she added, referring to Kody's ex-wives, Christine and Janelle Brown.
​In response, Kody told Robyn, "There's a saying I've heard, 'A father's knife never leaves his children's hearts.' It breaks my heart. I really wish I could have repaired my relationship with my own father while he was still alive."
