It’s hard to believe that a year has passed since that unforgettable, intense day when you came into our lives. You arrived so fragile and still, and our world turned upside down in those first moments. Together, Lucas and I gave everything we had, fighting desperately to save you. The rush to the hospital, the oxygen, glucose, and warmth they provided—it was all a blur, yet the only thing we could focus on was you. Against all odds, you came back to us, though so delicate that the days following became a sleepless journey as we fought to help you grow stronger.

Now, one year later, we are in awe. You are here, celebrating your very first birthday, and our hearts overflow with gratitude. Our family, now a precious four, has been shaped by your resilience. Watching you grow close to Hjördis has been one of our greatest joys, and seeing you both together, as inseparable as soulmates, is a gift beyond words.

Eva, you are not just our labradaughter—you’re our reminder of strength, love, and the power of hope. As we celebrate this beautiful milestone, we look forward to every step ahead.
