Instilling martial arts and combat sports in children from a young age doesn't teach them violence... it gives them tools.

It's to give them security, because a child who knows how to defend themselves walks more firmly.
It's to discipline them, because they learn the essentials of respect and self-control.
It gives them physical ability, reflexes, and strength, because an active body is a healthy body.
And it's to give them judgment, to know when to act... and when not to.

In adolescence, when urges, social pressures, or conflicts arise, having self-defense skills can make all the difference.

Not to hurt... but to protect yourself.

Martial arts doesn't make children more aggressive; it makes them more aware, more focused... and stronger inside and out.

It's never too young to learn life skills/martial arts.

AXE KICK (KAKATO GERI) – THE CRUSHING VERTICAL STRIKE

The Axe Kick, or Kakato Geri, is a devastating vertical kick that comes crashing down with the heel, like an axe splitting wood. It is powerful, precise, and ideal for targeting the opponent’s head, collarbone, or shoulder line.

Crush from Above:
Lift the kicking leg high above the target, extending fully upward with minimal bend in the knee.
Drop the leg vertically downward, slicing through the air with force.
Strike with the heel, not the sole or ball of the foot, to maximize damage.
Keep your guard up, as the kicking motion briefly opens your centerline.
Maintain posture—your upper body should remain upright and balanced.

Why the Axe Kick Works:

Attacks from an unusual angle, hard to block or anticipate.

Perfect for breaking guards, especially against high-guard opponents.

Can be disguised as a front kick before snapping down.

Targets the head, collarbone, shoulder, or even traps.

Effective in both sparring and real self-defense, when executed with precision.

When to Use It:
Ideal when an opponent is closing the distance, or when they drop their guard momentarily. It’s also a fantastic finisher or counter-attack after feinting a front kick.

A clean Axe Kick feels like a hammer from above—swift, heavy, and brutal.
