On 15July, 2025 Tesla Just opened a Showroom in Mumbai, India
and inaugurated by Maharashtra's CM Devendra Fadnavis and Eknath Shinde who also took a test drive of Model Y.
But after the launch everyone is talking about taxes by Indian government on this Tesla Ev
Tesla Model Y in India
US Price: Rs.30 lakh ($37,490)
Import Duty (70%): Rs 19.39 lakh
GST (28%): Rs 7.75 lakh
GST Cess: Rs 2.75 lakh
Ex-Showroom: Rs. 59.89 lakh
Road Tax & Insurance : Rs. 3.5 lakh
On-Road Price: Rs. 61 lakh
Tesla gets Rs. 30 Lakh
Govt gets Rs. 31 lakh!

We are not upset with taxes but with the poor services government providing to indian Citizens.
