A peaceful first day of November to you!

Just putting the word out there to you that ... if you're stuck on what to get family members for Christmas ... I've been working from home since 2008, transferring home movies to digital format, making it easy to share them with family members!

I transfer 8mm, Super 8mm, and 16mm "projector" films (no sound) , VHS tapes, VHS-C tapes, mini-DV tapes, and 8mm tapes to DVD or flash drive, whichever you prefer. I no longer transfer audio tapes or record albums.

I charge 12 cents per foot for projector movies (cannot transfer sound on the rare Super8/16mm film that captured sound) ... small reels are 50 ft. ($6.00) ... there are no hidden fees with my work ... and, if your movies have been spliced together onto bigger reels, there's usually a grid on one of the spines that tells you how many feet of film are on that reel. It's easy to figure out the cost of transferring these memories for your family.

I charge $10 to transfer VHS tapes to DVD ... I snap photos from the film, like I do for the projector films, to personalize the printed discs (I do not use labels; I print directly to disc). All discs created here are placed in slim line jewel cases before they come home to you .. 🙂 (or transfers are put on flash drive in .mp4 format ... your preference) ...

I also scan slides/photos - can be scanned to .jpeg files @ .25 per item (in case you want to share copies from photo kiosk for friends/relatives) .... and one of my favorite projects is to scan slides/photos and place them in a photo montage, complete with cool transitions and music added if you'd like ... I charge .50 per item for this format ...

I also transfer "long distance" film jobs - when you pay to ship them here, you just add the same charge for return shipping to the check for my work.

If you mail them, please include contact info and instructions. I will let you know when they arrive safely, and when I put them back in the mail to you.

I try to do quality work at a fair price - I have not raised my rates since I started this work in 2008; check out the prices on line ... and look closely for the hidden fees from some of the companies out there. Besides, I ENJOY this work, and try to put extra effort into each job I do. 🙂

It's getting late in the season, so, if you would like to have transfers done for Christmas presents, please get in touch as soon as possible.

I like the work I do here in this little computer/movie transfer room. I like converting memories into an easily viewable format. This makes folks happy - the dollars they put in my hand go to the musicians who bring their music here to us. Works out for all of us, and sure beats being a school secretary in these crazy days ... just finished up a couple of small projects that came in today. I was just nudged into the fact that it's almost October, by a kind person reviewing my work on Facebook, and thought I'd better put the word out as movie transfers make great Christmas gifts, but take some time to complete ... so, here you go ...

I've been doing this work full time since 2008. I transfer these tapes: VHS, VHS-C, mini-DV, and 8mm/hi 8mm video tapes. I charge $10 per tape to DVD or flash drive, as per your preference. Also transfer photos and slides to beautiful montage projects. I charge .25 cents to scan to .jpegs/flash drive (that can be viewed on computer or printed from), and .50 cents each to scan photos/slides to photo montage to play on your DVD player/smart TV.

I transfer "projector movies" (without sound) ... 8mm, Super 8mm, and 16mm. I charge 12 cents per foot for these films. Also transferred to DVD or flash drive.

I work hard to do the best work I can for those who trust me with their memories.

Christmas shopping season is rolling in ..... I usually put a hold on new jobs after December 1, as I want to make sure anything dropped off by then gets transferred in time for Christmas gifts.

A peaceful Monday morning to you! Sitting here since long before daylight working on some movies. Decided yesterday that I need to take a break from movie work, after finishing up what I have here, until May 1. This work takes a lot of time, probably more than it should because I fuss with what I send out so much ... chuckle ...

Need to start focusing on gearing up for the 2023 house concert season here. Spring cleaning, grocery shopping, cooking and baking for the freezers need to get on my to do list soon, or it's going to be a very scary start to the music on April 23 ... :)

Back to work today while enjoying the music of Pittsburgh's own "The Squirrel Hillbillies ..." Took a couple of days off work to bring some order to this room, my computers, flash drives, and external drives. Back to running some Super 8 film today. Taking hug the Dobes breaks often ...
