Hermann High’s Homecoming Game. But this year, the excitement wasn’t just about football. There is something more.
Down at Hermann Lumber, the buzz is ongoing. It wasn’t just the usual chatter of customers looking for building supplies. No, something else was driving people through the door—something that felt bigger than just a hardware store.
Get your tickets while they last! Only 400 tickets were printed for this year’s Bearcat Football Fundraiser and Service Project. The prize? An eye-popping choice between a John Deere 835M Camo Gator or a John Deere 1023E compact tractor equipped with a D120 loader and a 54D mower deck and a trailer comes with both.
Proceeds from the fundraiser would go toward two vital causes: part would support the family of Officer Sullentrup, Hermann’s hero and the other half will bolster the Hermann High School football fund.
Megan Stiers, part owner of Hermann Lumber, “I tell you, they’ll be gone before you know it,” she smiled, “Drawing’s at the Homecoming game on October 4, so don’t wait. If you’re not holding a ticket, you’ll be missing out!”
It isn’t just about the game or the prize. It was about Officer Sullentrup’s family and about a sport that turns boys into men.
One lucky person will walk away with the keys to a John Deere, knowing they had helped make their town a little bit stronger.
This town always comes together when it matters most.
