Press Release- Kyle J. Crowe

On July 27, 2026, the New Haven Police Department received information regarding threats made toward a Franklin County Judge. Due to the threat, but not knowing the means, timing, and potential location, New Haven Police Officer’s immediately began efforts to locate the suspect to ensure public safety.

The suspect, Kyle J. Crowe, was located by a New Haven Police Officer on First Street in Hermann, Missouri. The officer contacted the Hermann Police Department, whose officers promptly responded, arrested Mr. Crowe, and transferred custody to the New Haven Police Department.

On July 28, 2026, the Honorable Judge Matthew W. Houston issued an in-custody warrant for Mr. Crowe on the charge of Tampering with a Judicial Officer. The warrant carries a $50,000 cash-only bond.

Mr. Crowe is currently being held at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility pending further court proceedings.

The New Haven Police Department would like to extend its sincere appreciation to the Hermann Police Department for its swift response and assistance in safely apprehending the suspect. The professionalism and cooperation between our agencies were instrumental in bringing this incident to a safe resolution.

No other information will be released at this time.

As with all criminal cases, the suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
