Our Story

Founded in 2012, the Yale Review of International Studies (YRIS) is Yale College’s premier international affairs journal, dedicated to publishing opinion and long-form scholarship on contemporary and historical global issues broadly defined. We are an open-access, open-submission journal, guided by the principle that the creation and enjoyment of academic scholarship should be available to all, regardless of national origin, university affiliation or income. We feature top undergraduate scholarship from universities everywhere in the world, and in particular focus on issues underreported or misrepresented in the United States media environment. Follow our work at yris.yira.org. Submissions can be sent to [email protected], and submission guidelines are found at yris.yira.org/submit. YRIS seeks interesting, diverse, and compelling scholarship on questions of international interest: the relations between countries, trends or challenges of transnational or global scope, and the interaction of people and ideas from different nations.
