Uganda, don’t get me wrong. Just because I point out injustices doesn’t mean I don’t love this country. The friends I made, the experiences I had, the smiles and all the laughter. Uganda instiled something beautiful in me. It brought so much magic to my heart. I firmly believe everybody should experience Uganda; the nature, the people, the MUSIC, the luwombo. I will forever be an ambassador for Ugandan tourism for it is a special place- while I also stand for what isn’t right. So much love ❤️🇺🇬

This story is not just about me leaving Uganda. As a result of this type of behavior, many of the brightest minds of Uganda are leaving, or trying to leave, to go lend their talents and innovations to other nations where success is encouraged and celebrated. Where does it leave the people of Uganda when those in power are exploiting talent for their own benefit and actively holding people back from success?
