I’m happy to announce that in addition to my sportscasting jobs I’ve added a new position to my already busy schedule, as I’ve accepted a role as a GAME SHOW HOST at Game Show Battle Rooms- Detroit (Troy)

The best way to describe it is like an escape room on steroids!! You book a block of time in one of our two battle rooms of Classics (Survey Battle, Spin and Solve, What’s That Cost, and The Drop!) or our Primetime showcase (Survey Battle, Match Up Wars, and Time Rush Games). Each arena is set up with what you’d expect in a game show — dramatic music, lights, giant screens, a point system, team tables, and your own game show host.

We officially open on Monday November 17th and I highly encourage anyone that is looking for a fun night out with a group of friends, coworkers, date night, team building exercise, corporate function, any type of birthday or milestone party to check it out. Our first day of training was just playing and it was so much fun!

You can book and request me as a host, or use one of our other ones, but either way go out of your way and try it — you will have a great time. It’s also only one of 19 so far across the US and the only one in Michigan!

Yesterday I had the incredible honor of returning to where my career began and talk to current students interested in broadcasting and digital media. And even though I go to EMU every year to broadcast the basketball teams, I haven’t been on this part of campus in close to 18 years!

The rush of memories and emotions came back to me when I parked at Alexander music building where I spent four years in the marching and basketball band. Then to walk by Pray Harrold, Downing, and now the Judy Sturgis building on the way to the library was awesome.

It was also great to see some of my professors plaques on the wall now that they are retired and know the impact they had on me, and others before and after I was there.

Following the event we were treated to dinner at Sidetracks and I can’t help but smile and appreciate all EMU has done for me. Forever and always GO EAGLES!
