Before and after. It bothered me that the image of Fitzer's Frosties wasn't the way that I remembered in my mind. My family rented an apartment in the late 1960's... about one block south of this intersection (Route 30 and Cedar Road in New Lenox). My previous restorations had visual problems for me. I painted a new sign. Created a road throughout the intersection. Re-painted the building...etc. I am happier with the finished image. What is different in your memory of Frosties?

I have been review the platt maps I have. I have the whole county, but I'm only sharing the New Lenox map. There are no dates printed on this map, but I see that Pilcher Park is included (Joliet added Pilcher Park after 1920) ...my guess is that this map was completed in the the mid 1920's.
