This is the same intersection today...(Cedar Rd. and Route 30)that Fitzer Frosties was located. In this picture :the old fire station, old post office, old Methodist church. All the other building were demolished earlier this year

This photo (@ the Lincoln Highway and Haven Ave. intersection). The medical center was constructed in the 90's, and removed spring 2025. Originally 2 Francis family homes were there. The largest was a Francis home that had the first phone in the county. That home was moved to a new location on Joliet Highway before the medical center was constructed. My first home purchase was about a block from here on Prairie.

these photos show the progress on the new roundabout located at Cedar and Haven Avenue. A few homes were removed to make space for the expansion. My family rented a home around the corner on Cedar Rd in 1965 (next to the old New Lenox post office).
