“Our community is built on the dedication of these educators,” Jared Brewer said. “If a cup of coffee helps start their day right, we’re all in. Besides, we like to think of this as fueling up the real engines that make our town run — our teachers.”

Martindale Chevrolet and Hebrew Delight Gourmet Coffee will offer free coffee to New Madrid teachers and school staff on Aug. 20 as a gesture of appreciation for their dedication.

“We got what we felt like were really competitive bids from four very reputable companies. Everybody’s bid came in fairly close to each other,” said City Manager Aaron Griffin, noting the bid of $2,912,300 by the Dexter firm was the lowest of the four.
