MY 3 WEEK PROGRESS

I can’t not believe I am already on week 4 of my program. This was the ultimate test for my “toned in the gym” program and I can happily say that it works! I have 3 more weeks left and I am so excited to see more results. I gained 10 pounds from taking two weeks off from my egg retrieval surgery. I also gained weight from the medications I was taking to help with that. The left picture was my starting point on day 1!

Here is what I have been doing:
- following my program exactly
- taking 20 mins walks on an Incline 3x a week
- focused on a high protein diet
- getting 10,000 steps a day
- drinking 80oz of water a day

I promise that these things WORK. Stay consistent, put in the work and the results will come. Doesn’t mean you have to be perfect, just be consistent 80% of the time. You can do anything you set your mind to!

MENTAL HEALTH

this is a fitness account right? Where we talk about all the things you should be doing to take care of your body and fuel it in the right ways. But why don’t we talk about our mental health in the same light?

I’ve been seeing a therapist since November and honestly, it was the best decision I’ve ever made for myself. I have learn so much about who I am and how to solve issues I’ve been bottling up. I’ve learned how to better communicate and be vulnerable to my close friends and family. Therapy is like going to the gym for my mental health. Just like I’m lifting weights to strengthen my muscles, I’m strengthening the connection of my mind.

Be open to finding new pathways for you. If therapy isn’t for you, try meditation or journaling. We need to take care of our mental health, just like we need to take care of our bodies. You only get one body and mind in this life, so why not do everything you can to help it!
