Magnolia's story is a sad story that many rabbits unfortunately face. Magnolia was dumped in a park in Jefferson parish on a rainy day. When I heard about the new dump from a park ranger, I knew I needed to step in and help this confused and scared girl. She did not take long to trap as she was confused and frightened. When I lifted her up, I noticed she was dyed pink, most likely used for a gender reveal or possibly used as bait for a dog. She had sore hocks and was overweight, probably from living her life in a small wire-bottomed cage. Magnolia has a hard time getting around on slippery surfaces due to not being able to use her back legs as much. This is caused by improper housing of rabbits. She can get around just fine on soft surfaces like rugs and blankets. Magnolia is also protective of her space because she never had a lot of space, and she will show you that that is her territory. Magnolia loves affection and is a sweet girl who needs someone to give her the life she deserves. No bunny deserves what she has endured. Unfortunately, people are also scared of her breed because their eyes are ruby, but red-eyed white bunnies are the best and deserve a home just like any other bunny. Will you open your home to the least adopted breed of rabbit? Every bunny deserves a chance!
Magnolia is in foster but will be coming to Jefferson Feed once a space opens up!
