Our Spotlight of the week goes to "The Wizard", Ben Lorio.
Ben graduated from Loyola University with a degree in Music Industry Studies & received his Associates Degree from Full Sail University in the Recording Arts. Recently, he has mixed two Christmas songs, one for the indie pop group Sweet Crude entitled "Sleigh Ride" and the other "I'm too Broke for Christmas" by the rock band Bantam Foxes. Lorio has also worked with talent such as So Long Storyland and John Lisi & Delta Funk! in their most recent projects. Congratulations on all of your accomplishments Ben! You continue to inspire us everyday!

Our former client, Harry Connick, Jr., recently interviewed with IN New York Magazine; he discusses being from New Orleans and what that means to him as a musician.
"Everything I do is a result of my upbringing in New Orleans—all the music that I play. The unique thing about New Orleans in terms of music is that there are many different styles. And as a musician, you’re sort of called upon to know how to play all of them. not to mention the indigenous style of New Orleans. With different rhythms and instrument configurations, you hear music down there that you just don’t hear anywhere else."

A recent post from Johnny Mastro & Mama’s Boys, "The Music Shed was an ideal place and provided an old school live sound. No headphones, isolation, or fancy or dirty tricks... playing some music while Ben Lorio and his boys record the results." Make sure to check them out on Frenchman Street this Thursday; show starts at 10:30PM at the Apple Barrel Bar! We can expect the band's 32nd tour of Europe this upcoming Spring. Pleasure working with you gents!
