Is hubby lying to me?

We went op shopping today to find a dress for my SILs wedding. My partner said this pink dress looked great. It was cheap so I bought it but didn't know if I should wear it. Don't know if the color suits me either??? It is it's too 'young' for me. I'm 53.

I also bought the spotty one in the hopes I could do something with it. I was thinking take it up to just below the knee? Add a belt? Change the neckline?

Plus I have to wear any dress with flats because of a foot injury. (Hence the taping)

Help please!

EDIT - Op shopping is thrift shopping or recycled/2nd hand fashion. No option of downsizing. No returns. I bought 3 dress for $25AU.

The wedding is cocktail dress at a rooftop garden bar/restaurant.

The pink dress is Portmans (an Australian fashion brand targeted at 18-30 year olds) and it's actually a size smaller than I wear. I have no idea how old it is though.

Is it emberassing to wear my handmade crocheted clothes? Do I Look "boho"?

Hello!
I love to crochet and make clothes myself. It is therapeutic and really fun for me to Design.
However crochet clothes have the repatation to be more boho and my worst fear is to look boho. I want to give a sophisticated, cute and elegant image. I worry that Im based due to beeing proud of my own makes and actually emberassing myself by wearing so much crocheted handmade stuff. Sorry if the combinations are a little repetitive I currently dont have all of my clothes with me.

My friend said my third option is actually too big and gives me no shape to the side and ages me.

The dress I've worn to events for the last two years shrunk in the wash so this year I thought I'd treat myself to a nice dress but in fact what I have actually done is treat myself to a special kind of menty b.

Now I find myself constantly trying my options on and asking random people on the internet if my body looks ok because I clearly have body dysmorphia. For the record I've lost 5 stone and I know I look better but I'm not confident in dressing myself anymore. She is convinced this dress fits me but reddit tells me otherwise so maybe it was the bad angled photo.

Thanks in advance. I will just be here with my issues.
