Just wanted to take a moment to send some public thanks to GoldFlakePaint...
The whole GFP crew have been such tremendous supporters of everything we've done, that I often question if there is in fact anyone outside of their community actually listening to anything we put out. I genuinely can't thank them enough for listening and constantly remaining curious. Thank you.
It's emotionally, physically and mentally exhausting running anything. For love or for money, it's no secret that somethings can be impossible to sustain. I (Theo) often feel very similar to how Tom described himself in his day to day existence running GFP. I don't know how they do it.
It's brave to start something, maybe even braver to know when it doesn't work anymore. I am really pleased that Tom & the crew are looking inward to see how both the musical and personal landscape of their criticism has changed. I am also excited to see what they are doing have a new life. A more sustainable life. A more positive life.
Other sites like Portals, Stadiums and Shrines, GVB, have adapted and carved a different pace, format and narrative. This rhythm should be applauded.
It was wonderful to have you as you were, it will be lovely to have you as you will be.
