One of the first cars in the Wheel Hub Vault seeking its next curator is the extraordinary Ruffian 1967 Mustang FIA Fastback. It’s a vintage gentleman’s racer - a lot of Cobra and a little European influence. It’s a street car that’s been inspired by racing, which feels vintage, but with a tighter suspension.

You can experience this one-of-a-kind build in person right now, October 2–5, at the Audrain Newport Concours & Motor Week 2025 in Newport, Rhode Island. Even better — you may have the chance to meet the builder himself, Chris Ashton, to talk through the car’s story and vision. Chris is also showcasing his Galaxie and unveiling his newest creation, a stunning 1935 Plymouth hot rod.
