Two Ole Miss students are dead, and their families deserve answers, not assumptions about kratom.
I dug into the data for this piece. Millions of Americans have reported using kratom, and the National Institute on Drug Abuse says fatal overdose from kratom alone appears to be extremely rare. That doesn’t make it harmless, but it matters.
Louisiana banned kratom while opioid deaths were already falling. Before we keep expanding the drug war, shouldn’t we ask whether these bans actually make people safer? It’s time for a more thoughtful conversation. Read more here: https://tinyurl.com/59t3tkyy
