Mother, wife, friend, promoter, event planner, music enthusiast , and renaissance woman, Dj illy holiday grew up in the 9th Ward of New Orleans, Louisiana. Aided by years of music appreciation , marching as a dancer & majorette as a child and an upbringing in a very musically influenced home.Leaving New Orleans at the age of 19 to attend college in Los Angeles , she became acquainted with many Music Legends . Her normal residency is at her Creole Soul restaurant that she owns with her husband , who is also an accomplished musician, producer, composer, and music aficionado himself. Music is their connection and love language. Illy takes curating music for every event to heart. For her, it’s all about a mood and a vibe and a deep hypnotic groove. She plays those tracks that get you tapping your feet , reminiscing and nodding your head without you realizing she’s taking you on a musical journey. Regardless of genre , tempo,style or release date, Illy plays the music that will keep the crowd moving . As one of her drops says , “just sit back and enjoy the ride “ .
