I finally did the thing and made y’all a DIY Live Music Bar Crawl map because apparently my love language is logistics and chaos.

This is a fully walkable route with live music all day & night, no Ubers required, no guesswork, no “wait where are we going next?” energy. You just follow the stars, chase the music, and let Bourbon Street do what she does best.

Day drinks turn into night shows.
Bands overlap so you can bounce.
You will accidentally make new friends.
You will absolutely lose track of time.

I didn’t plan on dropping a new episode, but schedules shifted, chaos ensued, and I felt obligated to update the people who listen to me yap into a microphone.

Well HELLO again, Facebook. If you’re new here… first of all, hi, welcome, I’m sorry in advance.
If you’ve been here since the beginning… surprise, your girl crawled back out of the shadows.

Episode 5: Back From The Shadows is officially LIVE, which feels dramatic and correct because this podcast went a little Bourbon Street feral and then ghosted for over a year. Very on brand.

Alright y’all! Episode 3 is all about live music “Only On Bourbon Street.” In this next episode, I’m going to talk a little about how I got into the cover band world, some of the women who were pivotal in me staying with it (not sure if I’ve ever told them, but they’re about to learn 😂), and where to catch bands I sing with or fill in with from time to time! I’ll also be dropping links for their socials after the episode so you can keep up with when & where they are playing as well as some of their side jobs you can also support if you’d like! Included with the episode will be a playlist of local music that some of the musicians mentioned in this episode are apart of. I hope you give it a listen because every stream counts for these guys! I might be biased, but their music is incredible and worth at least one listen.

For anyone interested in my Andy Steib tattoo: Here’s the background on it! Andy and I bonded over music and especially Fleetwood Mac. That being said there’s a lot to unpack here, so don’t say I didn’t warn ya 🙃

Andy’s favorite Fleetwood Mac song was Gypsy and mainly because of the video with the scenes of Stevie in the white dress 😂 If ya know… well ya just know, so I put him inside of a crystal ball as a penguin as an ode to his love for the Pittsburgh Penguins 🥰
My personal favorite Fleetwood song is Rhiannon… so I added the black cat. Inside of the ribbon are lyrics from the song Dreams because we both enjoyed that song and bonded over it first. When I went to Good Work Tattoos and described these things out loud to the artist (I can’t remember his name to save my life, but he was the best. I haven’t had any work done since, but when I do this is the spot. Hands down.), this is what he drew up and it was better than I was imagining. While he was drawing I decided to hang out cause I had quite literally nothing else to do that day and we talked about coloring for the smoky clouds & we decided to add some pink in there for Shandra 💖 I know tattoos aren’t everyone’s jam, but you’d be surprised what meaning they hold for the person that has them. This is one of my biggest pieces and the placement of it is very purposeful to me & what I want to be consistently reminded of no matter where I am or what I am doing in life.
